Les Trouvères, Toronto - Hosts

Les Trouvères is, of course, the celebrated Victorian touring company. Seen throughout the capitals of Europe, the great ones have now fallen on hard times and are reduced to singing for their supper in Dufferin Grove Park. But never fear, the famous actress Madame, and her sly assistant Doyenne (with poodle) will reprise their roles as audience hosts from last year.

Theaturtle, Toronto - Alphonse

Based in Toronto, Theaturtle has produced Kafka and Son with Threshold Theater, which toured across Canada and to Iceland, Alphonse by Wajdi Mouawad, The Song by Adam Nashman, The Snow Queen composed by Patrick Cardy, and Noah's Great Rainbow by Sam Chaiton.

Golgi Apparatus, Toronto - Ahoy!

Golgi Apparatus Theatre Company formed in the summer of 2007, brought together by the three core members' interest in clown and physical theatre. As graduates of the Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Ecole Philippe Gaulier, and Humber College, the company possessed a wide array of skills and training with a shared vocabulary on which to base their work. The company developed their own approach to rehearsing with highly physical routines and improvisational exercises from their different schools to anchor their collective creation process. Golgi Apparatus’ first show Bigfoot made its successful debut at the 2007 Cooking Fire Theatre Festival.

Buddy Nutt, Pittsburgh - Pickleville

Buddy Nutt is a singer-songwriter multi-instrumentalist who sings songs about picnics, super markets, dead girlfriends, ping pong, sledding, and so on. Relying heavily on ukulele, kazoos, duck call, and slide whistle, he also occasionally whips out the musical saw, cornet, spoons, didgeridoo, and suitcase bass drum. Oh... and a vibraslap.

Scrapheap Theatre, Toronto - Hellooo...

Scrapheap Theatre is a new Toronto-based company comprised of creator/performers, Sarah Cormier and Kiersten Tough.
