Emcee for the evening will be Rebecca Addelman, one of the brightest talents among a bold new wave of Toronto comics, and recent poster girl for a Toronto Star feature that asked the question: "Can Women Be Funny?" When Addelman takes the stage the answer is a resounding yes.
Addelman performs stand-up and sketch around the city, and is a writer/performer for a new XM satellite radio comedy program, "The Humber Report." She was recently nominated for the 2006 Tims Sims Encouragement Fund.
Baltic Avenue is a six piece band that reinterprets the classics of our age. Not a true cover band, nor a tribute band. A repertoire that includes the Pretenders, Neil Young, the Beatles, Byrds, Cream, Dylan, Donovan, Lovin' Spoonful, the Stones, Led Zeppelin, Lucinda Williams, Patti Smith, Elvis Costello, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix and more.
