The Cooking Fire Theatre Festival is a week-long performance extravaganza celebrating theatre, food and public space in Toronto's Dufferin Grove Park. Since 2004 we have brought together local, national and international, artist-run theatre companies to perform delightful and astounding work for a diverse audience. This festival is a pay-what-you-can event with a focus on theatre that is accessible to all.
Using the park's celebrated community bake ovens the festival combines each evening's performance with an affordable organic meal made with fresh, local, organic ingredients.
In 2007 the festival will host companies from Toronto, Halifax, Chicago and Bellingham. Building on the success of the last three years, this year’s Cooking Fire Theatre Festival will offer the experience of enchanting and challenging theatre, wonderful food and the beginning of summer.
