January pleasures: a nice mild day to venture out, and plenty of good food at the market, judging by the news:

Sosnickis report: "We have graded and washed our potatoes, carrots, beets & celeriac, now ready to head to Dufferin! This afternoon we'll work on the onions and trim up the cabbage too. We still have a few hampers of green zebra tomotoes we'll sort through. Sauerkraut and Potato Cheddar Perogies in abundance as well! Stay warm -make stew and roast veggies!" Jessie & Ben.

Greenfields news: "Barely staying warm here in the Red Barn while getting all the roots washed for the week! A great selection at our table this week.Greenfields grown Purple/Orange Carrots, Red ' Lutz' Beets, Chiogga Beets, Celeriac, Rutabaga and Sunchokes. All sorts of Local and imported goodies to be had as well. You want greens, we got greens: Purple/Black/Green Kale, Red/Green Chard, Collards, Spinach, Parsley, Red Leaf and Romaine Lettuce. Come and get it!" Mark
