Rotting logs at fire circle and sandpit

Parks supervisor Peter Leiss to on-site staff Mayssan Shuja, Oct.4 2006

I will ask Forestry to provide new logs

Parks supervisor Peter Leiss to Jutta Mason, Oct.18 2006

I noticed that the tree adjacent to Dufferin Grove that was storm damaged last week was being removed. I asked the crew if the could deliver the logs to the Park which they agreed to do. They also delivered smaller wood with logs which can used for fire wood once it is cured. We wiil make arrangements to move the logs later this season.

Jutta Mason to Parks supervisor Peter Leiss, Oct. 18 2006

you are a hero!

Parks supervisor Peter Leiss to Jutta Mason, Nov.13 2006

I have contacted Forestry regarding the chips and logs. I will follow up again.

Jutta Mason to Parks supervisor Peter Leiss, Nov.13 2006

Thanks Peter. No rush on the Forestry log-moving -- the ground is still way to soft anyway. Someone will remind you when it freezes.

Parks supervisor Peter Leiss to Jutta Mason, Nov.23 2006.

Forestry is very busy with a significant backlog of work. As a result I will probably have to have the work done by my staff as time permits.

From on-site Dufferin Park staff Mayssan Shuja to Parks supervisor Peter Leiss, Dec.3, 2006

Also, the wood that was placed in the bog still needs to be moved and placed around the sandpit and the fire circles. You mentioned previously sometime before the end of the year I think.... Is that coming up soon?

From Parks supervisor Peter Leiss to on-site Dufferin Park staff Mayssan Shuja, Dec.4 2006

I will have Gus look at moving the logs this week depending on the weather.

From on-site Dufferin Park staff to Parks supervisor Peter Leiss, Dec.14 2006

I saw that the logs have not been moved yet. Are you going to try for next week since the forecast says rain till about Tuesday?

Dec.27 2006

No response from Peter Leiss up to now.
