Skate Lending

If you don't have your own skates, you can borrow a pair (we have hockey and figure skates) -- recommended donation is $2. If you want to try your hand at shinny hockey, you can also borrow a stick and gloves (recommended donation $1 each).

Helmets are also available to lend, free.

School and non-profit youth groups can borrow skates for free.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

If you want to rent skates or shinny equipment you must leave a government issued Identification card as collateral. The following pieces are acceptable:

·Birth Certificate
·Health Card
·Driver’s Licence
·Social Insurance Card
·Passport
·Status Card
·Bring your ID card (BYID)

STUDENT CARDS, TTC PASSES AND LIBRARY CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE ANYMORE!

If you do not have one of these forms of identification you have two options:

1.You must leave a $50 deposit to be reimbursed upon return of the equipment

Or

2.You must sign a contract to become a skate rental member at Dufferin Rink.

In order to obtain a skate rental membership, your parents must come to the rink and complete an application. Once this is done , you will be issued a membership card to use at Dufferin Rink. You must bring this membership card with you whenever you wish to rent skates. No Exceptions.
